Thank you for the post, Lee. As a non-JW, I find the Watchtower's view on the judicious medical use of blood inexplicable, illogical and immoral. It makes me furious.
Thank you for your excellent website. I have referred people to it many times.
ajwrb is pleased to announce that we are now publishing a. quarterly newsletter to keep you up to date regarding developments.
around the watchtower society blood transfusion policy.. you may view the current issue of the newsletter at:.

this is my first post and i just wanted to say hi.
i have been a long time lurker (confession time) and decided to finally take the big step.. not much to say for now, but i would like to say thanks for all of your sharing.
i've learned so much.. please read my profile for more information.. .
Welcome, Agnes. I'm not JW, either. I found this board to be one of the best sources of information on the baffling, bizarre culture of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Agnes, you will know what I mean. Most normal people don't know much about JW, and sort of think they are strict and kind of weird but basically good. Once they have touched your life, however, you realize there is a much darker side to this cult. They are mean and scary.
brrr!
it's cold in toronto tonight/this a.m. - i believe it went as low as -26c (minus 26 celsius) .
it was pretty freakin' cold.
Normally I would be right out there, complaining about the cold....but it isn't.
Of all things, we have freezing rain. Minus 5 and it has drizzled all day. It is like a skating rink out there, just treachurous. Yikes!
this is a quote from kingdom ministry, 6/89.
wholesome association.
5 one cannot walk with god while running in association with those of the wicked and sick society that approves of everything that god abhors.
Thanks,kj, another keeper quote for my file.
i am brand new here.
just browsing so far though makes me think that i may be spending a lot of time with you guys.
in searching for info i stumbled across this board because i have just run into a problem with the witnesses.
Welcome to the board, Atlantic. In the recent past, is a thread about how elders assume you are having sex if you are alone together at night. I don't think you have a hope, using that excuse. I think too many people will know what the truth is and you will be caught.
This is jgnat's thread for newbies.

There are lots of good links on it, to do your own research.
I would say that if you want to protect your kids from being baptized, that you make sure they learn all about the WT, and how it is completely illogical. Could you REFUSE legal permission for your minor children to be baptized till theyare adults, and that would give you time educate them? Amazing has a thread on freeing your family both on this forum somewhere, and on the www.freeminds.org site.
There are lots of others on this site who know so much more and can give you other suggestions.
everyone can't be in the front row!.
well hell i thought i could read- .
or they were just the outcast of their congo- so when they come to the net they are mad as hell .
James, I have always enjoyed your insightful and humerous posts. You made me mad (at the org), you helped me, an outsider, understand, and most of all , you made me smile. Happy Birthday, and may each year bring you greater peace and happiness.
Best Wishes to you and Lady C for the rest of your journey.
i'm at my new work in brisbane as we speak!
just thought i'd inform y'all...if any aussie posters want to get in touch with me, do send me a pm.. regards,.
syn
Congratulations, Syn. I hope that you are really happy with your new job and new home. Australia sounds like a great place.
i got into a rather heated discussion this morning with my unbaptised but raised jehovah's witness wife.
we discussed so many things: feb 1 watchtower article on 607 and 1914, the un, beth sarim, blood, god's mouthpiece here on earth, etc.
this was yet another attempt on my part to try to plant a seed of doubt.
Globetrotter, what a difficult situation this is. I'm sad for all of you, you, your wife and most of all your kids. I certainly don't have extensive experience, but I don't know of any JW/non-JW mixed marriages that are full of love and harmony. Love, yes, but not harmony. How long the love can last under those circumstances remains to be seen.
This thread should be required reading for any normal "worldly" person, involved romantically with a Jehovah's Witness. They need to be informed and educated about this religion/cult before making any important decisions.
the first poster that i ever met was philo.. we'd traded a few stories via the site and i realised that we knew some of the same people down in portsmouth.. he was very cagey as to his real identity, but eventually we shared emails and he told me all about himself.
one day, i took hl down to portsmouth to see my daughter who lives there.
i'd mentioned it in a post, that i was going in that direction.
I've had the pleasure of meeting Simon and Anghard (and Liam and Dylan, who aren't really posters). They came for dinner, one lovely summer evening. You couldn't ask for nicer people.
Jgnat has become a dear friend in real life.
.
...not much difference as far as i can tell.. we have oil - they have oil.. we're conservative - they're republican.. we both love the two-step.. we can piss our initials onto a snowbank - oops!
wg.
LOL, WG, I was meaning down in the Lethbridge area. I lived there for a year, and I found it much more conservative and close minded.
